During the summer months, BCPS plays host to dozens of summer camps and academic enrichment programs. From Pre-K through 12th grade students, there is something for everyone, including robotics, STEM activities, video games, sports, academic acceleration and more. Participation in a summer program can help your child develop character, learn valuable life skills, make new friends and discover new interests. Several schools throughout the District are hosting recreational summer camps filled with adventure, a variety of challenging and exciting sports activities, field trips, creative and cultural arts, friendships and fun. See School Camp Programs by School below. Not all schools are represented.

Academic enrichment courses (K-12) are designed to enhance academic preparation and focus on skill development in areas such as science, math, reading and writing, languages, drama and technology, along with art, music and sports classes.

BCPS Summer Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK) is a FREE, full-day instructional program offered 4 days a week, June 14 – August 10, 2016.

The Extended School Year (ESY) Program is designed for students with disabilities whose IEP committee determines that a student requires continued programming during the summer months in order to maintain skills acquired during the school year.
