Get Quicktime
It's that time of year again. Time when kids put away their remote controls, video games and skateboards to don new sneakers and load their backpacks with paper and pencils.

Yep, it's Back to School time. But it isn't only students getting ready – Broward's 238 public schools are gearing up for the new year, too.

And no where is there more hustle and bustle than at Cypress Bay High School in Weston. Broward's newest high school isn't only getting ready for the first day of the school year, it's their first day ever. The last brand new high school to open in Broward was Charles Flanagan High in 1996.

Cypress Bay's staff rolled up their sleeves and got down to work – readying their classrooms and making last minute preparations to welcome more than 2,800 students for the 2002/03 school year. Cypress Bay High, is located at 18600 Vista Park Blvd.

Just to give you an idea as to what is involved in getting a school ready to open for the first time, imagine having to order the following:

2,500 student-desks
162 multi-purpose tables
184 file cabinets
56 cases of hand soap
650 chairs
54 cases of toilet paper
200 trash cans
