It's that time of year again. Time when kids put away their remote
controls, video games and skateboards to don new sneakers and load
their backpacks with paper and pencils.
Yep, it's Back to School time. But it isn't only students getting ready Broward's
238 public schools are gearing up for the new year, too.
And no where is there more hustle and bustle than at
Cypress Bay
High School in Weston. Broward's newest high school isn't only
getting ready for the first day of the school year, it's their first
day
ever. The last brand new high school to open in Broward
was Charles Flanagan High in 1996.
Cypress Bay's staff rolled up their sleeves and got down to work readying
their classrooms and making last minute preparations to welcome more
than 2,800 students for the 2002/03 school year.
