Broward Hospital District Presents
BCAA GAME OF THE WEEK
BCAA Boys Volleyball All-Star Game
|
The BCAA Volleyball game featured C.J. Macias the 2004 High School All-County Boys Volleyball player. The 6’4” middle blocker and outside hitter had his best season this year. Also featured in the game was John Grotowski, Northeast High, first team all county. The repeat all-county first teamer was one of the county’s most improved players and was a major reason why the Hurricanes made it to the state tournament.
Led by big hitters C.J. Macias of St. Thomas Aquinas, Robert Tuaone and Shawn Martin of McArthur and Mark Pellon of Flanagan, the South dominated for a 25-19, 25-16, 23-25, and 25-22 victory.
Macias who set out the third game, was named the Most Valuable Player for the South. The BCAA All-Star game features the county’s top seniors. Chris Guerra of Stoneman Douglas was named the North MVP.
This was the first Boy’s All-Star Volleyball game in the history of Broward County athletics.
