The 2016 English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Academic Competition

The ESOL Academic Competition showcases students’ talents and proficiency in the English language; develops students’ creativity and demonstrates organizational skills, research and problem-solving skills, and provides a better understanding of the curriculum and the cultures of people throughout the United States and the world. The theme of this year’s competition is: “Link and Think Globally: Learn a Second Language.”
During the ESOL Academic Competition, students participate in a variety of events, such as impromptu speaking, declamation (rhetorical speech), original oratory, talent, art and writing.
