More than 500 BCPS Science Students Will View Documentary and Discuss Film with Virology Researchers

WHO:    
Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) Students, Teachers, District Staff, Virology Researchers from Florida Gulf Coast University Dr. Sharon Isern and Dr. Scott Michael, and science filmmaker Dr. Laura Helft.

WHAT:
More than 500 BCPS biology, biotechnology, and anatomy and physiology students will view the documentary film, Spillover – Zika, Ebola & Beyond, and engage in discussion with virology researchers and the filmmaker.

WHEN:
Tuesday, October 25, 2016, at 12:15 p.m.

WHY:
This documentary film screening provides students with an opportunity to learn about the impact of infectious diseases in our community and interact with scientists who are actively researching these viruses.
