Bethune Elementary School Students Skype with Award-Winning Actress Cameron Diaz

WHO: Students from Bethune Elementary School, a Turnaround Arts School, will be surprised when they meet award-winning actress Cameron Diaz.    

WHAT:   Students will interact with Cameron Diaz via Skype, as she provides acting tips for their upcoming performance of Shrek.  Students will also perform a scene from their production of Shrek for Diaz, who was the voice of Princess Fiona in the motion picture Shrek.

WHEN:   Wednesday, May 18, 2016, from 1:30 – 2:30 p.m.

WHY:            Bethune Elementary was selected as a Turnaround Arts School, and is among a limited number of schools in the nation awarded this partnership by the President’s Committee on the Arts and the Humanities.  As a Turnaround Arts artist, Cameron Diaz adopted Bethune Elementary and lends her support and encouragement throughout the school year.
