This year’s theme is Super Powered – Changing the World One Gift at a Time. The symposium is a unique and powerful development opportunity with breakout sessions for parents, teachers, staff and community members. Experts from across the country and South Florida will participate in discussions and presentations.

The symposium provides educators and parents with the opportunity to network and learn in a forum dedicated to strategies and practices that foster self-directed, motivated and independent learners in real-world learning environments with "no ceilings."
The keynote address by Dr. James (Jim) Delisle, “Dumbing Down America: The war on our nation's brightest young minds (and what we can do to fight back),” takes a look at a three-step plan to change the direction of our nation's schools to better serve gifted students. Over 30 sessions will focus on strategies and practices critical to teaching and parenting gifted and talented learners, and on the unique social and emotional needs of gifted students.
Doors open at 7 a.m. for check-in and networking. Registration is $45. For additional information and registration, visit browardschool.com.
