WHAT:
The 2017 Community Involvement Awards – “Catch the Spirit,” celebrates and honors individuals, businesses and organizations who have gone above and beyond in their commitment to BCPS students, families and community.

WHY:    
The annual Community Involvement Awards ceremony recognizes and rewards the efforts of more than 33,000 volunteers who spend time each day in BCPS helping students and teachers; mentors who work one-on-one or in small groups with students; family and community members who work to strengthen the home-family-school connection; and businesses and community organizations that offer resources and services to help provide incredible education experiences for students. The event is a collaboration of the Public Information Office, the Office of Strategy and Continuous Improvement, and the Office of Student Support Initiatives.
