In observance of Veterans Day, Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) will honor military veterans and active duty members for their service in special events and ceremonies planned in schools across the District. The community is invited to participate and share in these events honoring our veterans.

The Pompano Beach High School Army JROTC is hosting its annual Fallen Heroes Ceremony and flag posting for each service member – over, 6,800 – lost since the beginning of the War on Terrorism. Flags with information about the fallen service member and a photo (if available) will be displayed in rows on the Pompano Beach High campus. Local family members of the fallen service members are special guests. Veterans and current service members will also be recognized and honored at the ceremony.
